Success Stories with Handwritten Notes

Who uses note cards and how can you learn from them to increase your success? Read the following quote from the book "The Welch Way - 24 Lessons from the World's Greatest CEO" by Jeffrey A. Krames. The book is about the colorful and creative Jack Welch who was the highly successful CEO of GE for over 20 years. This excerpt from the book illustrates how executives and managers use handwritten notes to share their vision and motivate and encourage their people.

"Jack Welch felt that genuine leadership came from the quality of one's vision, and the ability to spark others to extraordinary performance. The Welch style of leadership is particularly important in today's complex organization. Whether you are a manager or not, chances are that you depend on others to help you perform in your job. The people who help you would be more motivated if they knew the bigger picture (how their efforts help) and that you truly appreciate their efforts."

"To spark performance in others, particularly those who do not call you 'boss', adopt one of Welch's behaviors: Send handwritten thank you notes to colleagues and customers: Welch is a master at sending handwritten notes to thank people. Few take the time, so it almost always has an impact."

We want to share your success story of handwritten notes you have sent – or received. Send a quick email to vlowry@profitsinprogress.com with your name and phone number and our staff will call to write your story. It is good karma to help others increase their success!

Note-Working Success System (launching May 2006)

Last month we introduced our new system called the Note-Working Success System (NSS). It is designed to make it easy to send and track your own handwritten notes.

One unique aspect of our system is the NSS Organizer. This box is a visual reminder of your commitment to excellent relationships with your clients and the other important people in your life. Instead of, “Out of sight, out of mind,” our system organizer gently fans the flame of your passion for quality and top notch service by keeping your commitment in sight and top-of mind. With a place to store all your note cards, pens, stamps, business cards and monthly tracking sheet, you are efficient and productive – with a beautiful personalized organizer that you are proud to display.

Give us a call at 678-521-8820 to learn more and sign up! Visit our web site for more information about our new Note-working Success System.

Only two spots left for Executives and Sales Directors!
You can still beta-test the Note-working Success System in March. Plus if you sign up for our program by March 20th, everyone in your organization will receive a discount for the year program that begins in May! If you are an executive of a company with 200 or more employees or a sales director with a sales team of 10 or more, call us to test and measure your team’s results during this test period.
