New
Feature for Valet Customers
Profits in Progress has added a terrific
new feature to make it quicker and more
convenient for our Valet Customers. When
you subscribe to this service, a special
Valet section enables you to access your
personal page with a unique log-in password
and username. After you enter a list
of recipient names and addresses, your
own database is created and stored for
future mailings. To complete a mailing,
choose recipients from your list and
customize the mailing by selecting a
Profits in Progress Note Card and one
of our messages. (Or type in your own
message.) Click on “Send” to
notify the Profits in Progress staff
of your request. We will handwrite your
message as specified and send it to the
requested recipient(s) by first class
mail.

The
basic Valet service is perfect
for contacting 10 of your
clients and prospects throughout
the month and may be expanded
to include 100 or more. Messages
include Happy Birthday, Congratulations, Thanks for Being Our Customer, Thanks for the
Referral or a follow-up to business meetings or networking events.
The
Profits in Progress mission is to maximize
your Client Connections through Repeated
and Personalized Mailings -- helping you
generate Repeat, Referral and Word-of-Mouth
sales. Our services include individual,
handwritten note cards using our Valet
Service, as well as note card mailings
to your entire contact list – personalized with a message from you and your company. You can choose our professionally
designed note cards or we can customize
a Note Card or Special Offer Card to reflect
your corporate branding and colors.
Laugh
and Relax in Traffic
We all know that traffic can make you
tense and ruin your mood. Steve Rizzo,
a comedian and motivational speaker,
suggests that you make yourself laugh
while you sit in traffic as a way to
improve your entire day. He makes himself
laugh by imitating the Cowardly Lion
from the Wizard of Oz and makes faces
at himself or at other drivers. You can
also take the “Lion” theme
a little further with a Lion yoga pose.
(Only do this if you are stopped in traffic
or at a traffic light!) The idea is to
create extreme tension for a few seconds
and then let the muscles relax. Make
your face muscles tense by opening your
mouth wide and sticking out your tongue
as far as it will go. At the same time,
let your eyes focus on the point of your
nose so they are crossed. Then lift your
head to stretch your neck to its maximum
length. Spread your fingers and stretch
them as far as possible. Hold the pose
for five to ten seconds and then let
it completely relax. Do this exercise
several times in a row or throughout
your commute if you are stopped several
times. You will arrive at your destination
with less tension in your face and hands
and may create a few chuckles for yourself
and your fellow motorists!
Slow
Down to Show You Care
From The Other
90% by Robert K. Cooper
1.
Breathe before you speak.
2. Be clear about time.
• Don’t use negative presuppositions like “only.” Instead
say, “I have two minutes to spend with you right now — if we need more time, we’ll schedule it.”
3.
When possible, sit down, don’t stand.
• In many environments, the brain is programmed to perceive standing
conversation as less genuine than seated talk.
